Chambord, the first of the model chateaus, takes its inspiration from the loveliest and grandest of the Renaissance buildings in France’s Valley of Loire—Chateau de Chambord. Fontainebleau, one of the largest among the South Forbes chateaus, is also the most progressive. While it retains the traditional Baroque forms in the exteriors, the chateau’s inside is completely redone to reflect more modern tastes. This remarkable contrast between in and out is what makes the design stand out, especially when executed on a monochromatic white-on-white scheme. |

Sprawling gardens will be reminiscent of Paris' landscaped parks and flowers from all colors of the spectrum. Residents enter Chateaux de Paris through a main gate that provides a strong dramatic approach. Cobblestone paving, formal rows of trees, and a feature wall along the approach immediately bring about the feeling of a French-inspired development. A fountain at the middle of the gate and abundant lighting at night to accentuate the property are other French design concepts that have been incorporated in the plans. The masterpiece of Chateaux de Paris is the main clubhouse. It seems to float in a moat or reflecting pool, as inspired by the huge body of water that protects a French castle. It features granite doors, large arched windows, and flowers rich in color. Formal gatherings can be scheduled at the main ballroom area with the accompaniment of delightful music from a grand piano, whereas casual affairs can be booked at the adult and children's pool areas. |
